Okay, i just created a site to collate mindmaps for reference. The mindmaps are related to subjects that we study in school. I hope that helps for some people. Topics may not only be school related, it can be on any other topics. Anyone who is interested in contributing to the blog, here is how you can contribute:

1) Submitting mindmaps on any subject (Chem/Bio or anything. Your name will be displayed)

2) Writing up summaries on any topic (learn foreign languages/cyber languages)

3) Other ideas i haven't thought of.

Contributors will definitely have your name displayed so that your friends know that you contributed and that is your work.

Click HERE to access the website.

They say "all work and no play makes you a dull person". We say "work drives us insane". Let's think through this logically. Since work and play (which includes free time) will be correlated contributing to our sanity, an equation must between the 2 variables must be conjured which equates to our sanity.

Let W be the amount of work we have

Let P be the amount of playtime we have

Let S be the amount sanity we have (small value= insane ; big value= sane)

Whenever we have work, we have to distribute our work amongst our playtime. Therefore:

P/W = S (Playtime divided by work= sanity left)

To adjust the variables now. When we have too much P, and too little W, P tends to infinity whilst W tends to 0 (there is no negative work), S becomes a very big number indicating that we go insane. Hence, Too much play and too little work makes us go mad. -Verified

When we have too much W and too little P, W tends to infinity as P tends to 0. This will result in a very small value of S. Hence too much work and too little play makes us become more sane. -Verified

When we have all W and no P, W tends to infinity while P = 0. This will result in an undefined S.

Judging from the equation above, we can thus prove that the statement "work drives us insane" is not true at all. The statement "all work and no play makes you a dull person" is questionable as an undefined S is currently, undefined. What we do know is that more play and less work actually makes us insane. So to all out there. WORK HARD and play less!

Speaking of games. I'm still waiting for Starcraft 2 to be released!! It's been like months of waiting already. It's pretty exciting to see them update the website once in a while, displaying the units that'll be available in the latest game. What's worrying me is that the game will not be coming out soon enough because i haven't seen any updates for the zerg section! Though, i've seen once of the new features of the zerg. The zerglings can evolve into banelings which are well, explosive. lol. They can destroy those tall-riding colossus that the protoss has. Amazing. Kinda like the infested terrans they have. Anyway, i still think i'll probably stick to being being protoss. They're kinda cool. I remember this phrase by Fenix: "I fear no enemy for the Khala is my strength. I fear not death for our strength is eternal." Such.. Strength. lol. Anyways, till the next post, En Taro Adun!

We all studied in General Paper about the media. The media is one of the culprits to rising violence in teens and others in society. In this new age where almost everyone has a computer, it is inevitable for most children to be exposed to their first computer games. As they grow older, simple games such as Pinball and Solitaire would be too boring for them. With the availability of action packed, adrenaline racing games such as Doom 3 and Counter-Strike, young gamers start to embrace the gore and killings from the games. As time passes, these gamers get desensitized to the blood, gore and violence in these games. In fact, the demand for violent games such as these are on the rise! This is indeed shocking.

So what are the impacts of a desensitized teenage society? You've heard of the Columbine High School shootouts. You've witnessed the massacre at Virginia Tech. Are these not evidence of desensitized teenagers and people? The duo from the Columbine High School are indeed avid gamers. They were into the game Doom and actually designed a map identical to their school prior to the shootout. However, we cannot put all the blame onto the media and games for the shootouts. Society should be just as guilty for these tragic incidents. Society has carried out "killings" to bad people, but the word bad is subjective to individuals.
"Why do we kill people who kill people to show people that killing people is wrong?"

The media has dramatised killings. Society has accepted the killings. This could create a false mentality in people that bad people should be killed. THat's bad...

What i love about PayPerPost is that i can earn some extra income for my daily life just by doing something i like doing. I first heard about PayPerPost from a book which i saw at a bookstore. There were several things about making money online and since i spend quite a period of time online, i decided to read more about it. Hence i came across a term called PPP (Payperpost) and i decided to try and google it. Thus i came upon PayPerPost.com! What's best is that Payperpost.com has altered it's qualification levels for blogs so that more bloggers are able to earn money while they blog! Your blog previously needs to be 3 months old and have 20 posts but it our blog now requires only to be 1 month old with 10 existing posts. Brilliant!

Finally, i've created my Facebook account. I've had many invitations over the past few months and since i am reasonably free right now, i decided to go check out Facebook. In my opinion, Facebook is much better than Friendster. Facebook is more user friendly and loads a whole lot quicker than Friendster. You can also find long lost friends by viewing profiles randomly because their profiles will indicate the schools they used to study at and also where they are staying (assuming that they allow people to view these information). Not forgetting all the interesting things you can do on Facebook. Minutes ago, i was trying to beat a friend in the Typing Speed Test, with a score of 77 wpm. I had 75 wpm! Bummer. The Typing Speed Test is only one of the many other applications which you can add to your profile. As an analogy, imagine that your Facebook account is your computer desktop, then the applications would be the programs that you have installed onto your computer. To find out more about Facebook, click HERE!

Sunday morning rain isn't falling~ Went running this morning. Gosh, it was pretty okay but i am feeling pretty exhausted. Not forgetting diarrhoea plaguing me for 2 days already. Currently restocking at neopets. Yes, that is one other way to earn Neopoints (money) quickly. And if you're bored, you can always hang out at the boards or with your guild. Neopets is a great platform for kids or anyone to be exposed to html. In fact, i first started learning html on neopets, creating guild layouts and editing my shop layout. Yes, there IS a shop for you to sell stuff. You know how little children like to make pretend that they are chefs and customers with each other. Now's the chance for them to get involved with these buying and selling of stuff. Not forgetting over 150+ games to play and earn NP. For the more aggressive people, you can equip your pet and go fight in the battledome, be it an AI or someone else's pet. Doing well in any part of neopets may just earn you a trophy which is displayed at your user lookup for ALL to see. There are also site events which can also get you a trophy. Click HERE to sign up for neopets now!

New users to neopets can join my guild here where we will be glad to help you out in anyway. Newcomers will also get newbie packs free of charge (sponsored by me). One more thing. There IS a plot right now in neopets which will probably last 1 or 2 months. It's your chance to get yourself a trophy for your userlookup!

Haven't been posting for the past few days because i was busy. Will be posting later though. Got to get some sleep first. Yesterday, which was moments ago (Saturday), was kind of cool. I met 3 TPJCian mates. First was Edelia who used to be my primary school classmate. Then later it was Gordon my CG mate with his new hairstyle. Sweet. Lastly, it was ShiYong who was Ernest's CG mate. Amazing isn't it. 3 friends in day. THREE again. Okay, maybe i'm thinking too much about numbers. This is old news but there's a show called numb3rs. It's not a bad show, pretty intriguing. For ANYone who hasn't heard of or watched this show, you ARE pretty behind. It's about how Mathematics is used in reality. I know the word 'mathematics' turns most off but you got to watch it before turning it down. It's WAY cool.

Uh oh. I just realised that i got the date wrong. It was Kally's birthday 2 days ago on Friday. Dang. Anyway, HAPPY *belated* BIRTHDAY KALLY! XD

Defence of the Ancients, more commonly known as DotA is a modified (mod) map for Blizzard's Warcraft 3. Although Warcraft 3:The Frozen Throne (TFT) is a popular game amongst the more mature gamers, you don't often find many people playing it in LAN centers. However, since the coming out of DotA, more and more people are simply getting WC3 just to play DotA. As an avid fan of Blizzard's games, namely Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo, i find it ridiculous. Ironically, i do not mind the ever expanding number of people who are playing DotA because i can actually persuade them to try out the official WC3 maps. The idea between the 2 forces, the Sentinels and the Scourge originate from within the storyline of WC3 itself. Apparently, many people who plays DotA does not know even this simple fact! How laughable is that? Even some of the heroes in DotA were associated with characters in the WC3 storyline, Kael, Furion, just to name a couple. Again, how many people actually know the backgrounds of Furion and Kael? Kael, or Kael'Thas was the Prince of the high elven homeland, Quel'Thalas. Ever since the rogue Frostmourne wielding Prince Arthas destroyed the high elven homeland, Kael and the remaining high elven survivors banded together to form a new faction, called the Blood Elves. During their quest for revenge and magic, the Bloodelves eventually allied with Illidan Stormrage( a night elf), brother of Furion Stormrage. Unfortunately, in the story, Illidan was defeated by Arthas and Illidan's acquaintance were forced to retreat to recuperate their forces. I'm still questionable whether Kael would join the Sentinels at all.

Furion Stormrage, the hero. In DotA, he has the role of Prophet. Though true that Furion's so called prophecies came true, i still think that he should be given another name. Furion is the apprentice of Cenarius the demigod. In the War of the Ancients Trilogy, Furion has mastered the magicks of the druids and managed to hold off the first coming of the Burning Legion. In Reign of Chaos (ROC) and TFT, Furion , the Alliance led by Jaina Proudmoore and the Horde led by Thrall, held off Archimonde's attempts to corrupt the World Tree. Furion being a druid, has close affiliation with nature and thus, he can communicate with nature. The lands had told him of the second coming of the Burning Legion and thus tried to stop them again. The real prophet who has seen all these coming was actually Medivh, the Last Tirifal Guardian. So the thing is, if anyone should be called a Prophet, it should be Medivh. What's intriguing about DotA is that the proximity of the World Tree and the Frozen Throne. The World Tree was planted by the Great Dragon Aspects in the lands of Kalimdor. The Frozen Throne is located at Northrend. The 2 continents are actually separated by the sea and thus, not so close to each other!

I was reading through the VIBES magazine and i came across an article regarding cupcakes. They're not ordinary cupcakes, but cupcakes with a touch of creativity in it. They look really pretty and what's more? They're HANDMADE! Sweet! Lucky for you all, you do not actually have to own a copy of the VIBES magazine to have a look at these handmade cupcakes.

The above cuppy cakes (as i like to call them) are made by 2 cousins, Ilyana & Hanna. Founded by the 2 cousins in August 2007, Yummyumkins came about and was successful because of the cousins' passion for baking. Starting off from a small circle of clients, the little business has expanded a whole lot more. The creation of http://yummyumkins.blogspot.com has allowed people to order cupcakes and muffins. Cupcakes are not necessarily for leisure eating. Browsing through their website, you'll find that cupcakes are pretty good for other occasions such as weddings. Unique to Yummyumkins, they have a "Sample Sunday" which allows couples to go for a free tasting session. If you want to find out more about these delicious cupcakes, check them out HERE!

Music is something that everyone finds pleasant. How many times have you heard a song you like and want to learn how to play it? It's countless times for me. With a program called TablEdit, you can now learn to play your favourite music pieces, be it classical or pop. TablEdit Tablature Editor is a freeware which allows the user to edit, listen and print sheet music and tabs for stringed instruments. For guitar enthusiasts, i will highly recommend this software when learning to play new songs. The program allows the user to open the fingerboard, thus showing which fret/strings to press. It also allows the user to play the music at any pace he/she likes. If you are not so proficient at reading the musical scores, the software allows the conversion of the musical scores into guitar tabs which makes playing the guitar easier for beginners. You can even display both the scores AND the tabs at the same time, how convenient is that! The selected piece of music can be chosen to be played by a variety of instruments and sounds. Therefore, you can now get the computer to play your favourite music piece with an Electric Guitar, Cello, Piano, Applauses, Choir "Aahs", Breath noises and MORE! The program reads .tef files which are widely available on the internet, which demonstrates another benefit of this software. I've used it. I say it's good. SO, try out TablEdit Tablature Editor NOW!

Okay.. i know it's really silly, but i sort of figured out the notes for Ode to Joy while practising with the C and G7 chords. It's not a wonderful feat but i'm just amused to be able to produce another song by myself with the guitar. =) So here goes nothing: (click triangle to play)

It's not really good i know, and pardon the background distractions. Afterall i'm just a greenhorn. Intended to record Romance de Amour but i kind of mess up everytime i record. Oh well. Hope it will be better next time.

From the previous post, some of you people may be wondering what is Paypal. Paypal is a website which carries out online transaction for you. By doing so, you do not have to go through tedious processes such as banking in your cheque, or visit the bank nearby (we are all lazy sometimes, especially in the hot weather) in order to get your money into your beloved bank account. With paypal, online transactions can be easily done, hassle free. just to name an example, E-bay, the popular online auctions site, uses paypal to carry out the transactions. Judging from the success of E-bay's popularity, we can safely deduce that PayPal is safe. Paypal also has an integrated service which allows you to convert your money into 17 different currencies, thus saving you the time to travel to the nearest money changer. For those who are interested in online marketing, payperpost, DO NOT forget to register for a Paypal account! What are you waiting for? Click HERE to get the ball rolling!

Today was a rather nice day. As usual i went to tampines mall. I was at the arcade, saw a little boy about to play time crisis 2, so i went to join via link play. As expected i completed the shootout fairly easily. What was unexpected was that the little boy was quite open and chatted with me thru the game. lol. Well, i decided to tag along with him while i was there (since he praised my gaming skills XD ) . Went on to play 2 different versions of Marvel VS Capcom. Thrashed the little kid in one version. Decided to be nice and let him play alone on "MVC: Rise of something somthing" while teaching him the exact combos to execute instead of thrashing the console like most other kids. =D i'm so nice. Anyway, that isnt something one'd experience every time at an arcade, so ya.

On the day goes, finish dinner and was descending the escalators of the mall, particularly from 4th to 3rd floor. A couple of girls were in front of me on the escalator, with some distance between us. then, one of the 2 girls dropped her key along with her keychain at the end of the escalator. She was bending over to pick it up when suddenly, the whole escalator sorta stopped and jammed. The expression of that girl's face was PRICELESS. hahaha. It's like "zomg. did my key jammed the whole escalator or what.".

And finally, down to the basement and outta fairprice. went to the medical hall beside the supermarket to see some stuff. as i was exiting the entrance of that shop , someone waiting outside caught my eye. well i dont know who that is but we just made eye contact and stared, right into her eyes. -__- yeah it's a girl. after like one or two seconds, i realised i was staring into her eyes, i quickly glanced away at anything else. >.< zomg, it felt like electricity jolting my heart literally afterwards. wth was that feeling. i cant deny that she looks pretty ok... i feel so lucky that i did not blush or else it'd be SOOOOOO embarrassing. i wonder if i'll ever see her again. ok i did something stupid luh, on the bus home. you know how people pluck rose petals reciting:" she loves me, she loves me not". i did something similar. i recited "i will meet her again, i won't meet her again..", while clicking a pen (since i was holding one) after each bus stop. At the stop where i alight, the pen was clicked "on", which means, I WILL MEET HER AGAIN! zomg. how exciting. OK I KNOW THAT'S STUPID. BUT I CAN'T HELP IT. XD

somehow, 3 feels like a magic number. you know how magician always ask their audience to count to three and stuff. so maybe, i may actually get to know the girl on the 3rd 'special' event of the day! woot! ok whatever. blueberry, signing off.
